Where should the salt cup be placed?

The salt cup is mainly used in rooms where you spend a lot of time, such as bedrooms, children's rooms, studies or offices.

In the bedroom, the closer it is to the sleeping area, the more beneficial it is for sleep quality and general well-being.

Recommended salt cups according to room size:

  • Size "S": Rooms 10 to 12 m²
  • Size "M": Rooms 13 to 19 m²
  • Size "L": Rooms over 20 m²

Unboxing SALSAMED salt cup

1. Preparation and setup

Place the SALSAMED ceramic salt humidifier on the ceramic drip tray included in the box.

Please handle the container carefully: the fine salt flowers inside are sensitive and increase the intensity of salt evaporation.

If salt flowers are damaged or broken, it's not a problem - they will reform within a few days and the crust will strengthen over time.

2. Add salt and prepare the solution

Fill the bowl about ¾ full of the salt supply provided (2 to 5 x 1000 g depending on the size) – leave some space at the top.

Then pour 150 ml of water over the salt and let it partially dissolve.

Add more salt (do not fill completely, keep the rest as refill salt) and add another 100 - 200 ml of water.

Stir the solution with a spoon to a depth of about 4–5 cm . It's sufficient if the surface is damp. The salt shouldn't dissolve completely!

3. Commissioning and maintenance

Place the SALSAMED salt cup in its final location, ideally in an airy and protected place .

Make sure the salt in the cup always remains slightly moist. If the surface becomes hard or dry , add a little more water .

If the salt level in the cup drops, refill with the salt provided.

If the drip tray fills too quickly, use a little less water next time. Clean the drip tray regularly to prevent the salt from damaging the glaze.
